Let's create something worth a giggle

06/18/2026

You know that your creations are landing right when you get that little giggle.

Some things that I get to create, just bring my heart such happiness.I make up little stories in my mind about what the butterfly and flower are saying to eachother, and those are the types of things that make me giggle.

Whar are some things that you giggle over when you're creating?

So I've always been curious, especially with marble, declay bodies that use clays with added Mason stains. How vibrant the colors are gonna come across before I send them off to be glaze fired.

I saw someone do a simple trick of spritzing, a little bit of water on there with a sq**rt bottle, which also works, but I love getting the added dust off the pieces by putting it under the faucet and get in to really look at the colors before they dry.

If you're not aware of this tip, I hope it helps!

Putting on the little details of the ceramic homes.I'm making for my little landscapes, incense burners :)

This is a shorter version of my adding details to the little homes for my little landscapes incense burners... For those who have just a little less time. :)

The tools that I use for windows, doors and brick come from this company.

Other tools used here are an exacto knife, rolling tool paddle tool and chopstick.

Enjoy!

Today I made more incense burners using houses and trees making little landscapes. Since the video was way too long to show you the entire process, I am simply showing you how I add details to the little house that goes on the landscape.

The stamps that I am using here are from a company called Réluéf Pottery Tools. Here's the link to their site.

Other tools that I'm using here are an exacto knife, a chopstick, paddle tool, rolling tool, and a pointed sculpting tool.

I have fun making these little houses.I plan to do a tutorial very soon on how to actually make the house shape itself.

Enjoy!

Another making day video for those who don't mind a longer reel. :)

Yesterday, I decided to make a set of mugs with one and a half pounds of mixed clays. We have kansas clay wheat as the base. And the guna b mix recycled and made into colored clays using mason stains. These different clays were layered and then wedged, with the entire amount making about seven pounds. I was able to make four mugs, some handles and symptom rests with a little leftover for smoothing and attaching the handles.

I love marbled clays. I think the absolutely add an elevated. Addition to my collection of pottery. It's a lot of work getting to this point. But the results are worth it.

Feel free to leave a comment or question! Thanks for letting me share!
