The rocking chair has been around for centuries. It just hasn’t always looked the same.

What began as cattle pasture in southern Nicaragua is now a growing forest—more than 270,000 trees across the farms managed by Noel and Bryan Lopez and their team.

We sat down with them to talk about what it really takes to grow a forest: years of care, patience, knowledge, and a commitment to letting the land recover in its own time.
