Lookout Fire Company station 32. I am so glad they said "We are in the slatebelt, use some slate" So I came up with this.

I have been both anticipating this day and also worried about this day. They started laying up the slate of which I have thought it will look fantastic but have worried "what if it looks terrible". I have had this concept in my head for many many years when I passed by one of the hills around here that are formed in slate. So I wanted a rough slate, just split it and send it over, I want the rough, no matter the surface. While working on the design with the Lookout Fire Company, Pen Argyl the building committee said "Lets use some slate, we are in the slate belt after all". Didn't take me more than a split second to say I know what we should do.

Two of my favorite things. Fire Stations and my ride. This is the current state of construction on the Lookout Fire Company, Station 32 in Pen Argyl, PA. A day without rain in PA (finally) was the perfect time to check in at the site and make sure everything was being built as designed.
