Greetings! I’m Melissa Dittmann, a landscaping service provider (also artist and jewelry designer), passionate about Nature, plants, native species, pollinators, and bringing the beauty of the natural world to your home.
This season, I'm branching out on my own with my landscaping skills and experience. Introducing By the Roots: offering expert weeding, invasive plant removal, and other landscaping services.
After a few seasons of working under- and learning a lot from- the savvy and talented landscaper Meribeth Wulff of The Country Gardener (who retired after last season at the age of 80), as well as completing Master Gardener training, I'm hoping to help improve your garden with my landscaping skills- and reasonable rates.
My Gardening Super Power: I can practically guarantee that nobody else you hire will do a more meticulous and thorough weeding job than me. It may take longer, but since I get ‘em “By the Roots”, no one will have to come back week after week to do the same hack job again.
I also love planting, pruning, mulching, and generally getting my hands dirty. I’m interested in doing more landscape design projects as well, and dream of doing custom landscape art installations like beach rock mosaics, driftwood sculptures, creative trellises, and beyond.
