Pat and his crew are great to work with, are very reasonable with their prices and exceeded our expectations yesterday with clearing out a large area behind our garage (including dealing with volunteer trees that had grown a few years 😬), graded around our house using pavers we already had to save us cost, and removed an old apple tree stump. They took care to deal with my plants as they had to dig them up and replant them after grading. It's that time of year, when beautiful wild birds are building nests around your home and garden! Here are some tips if you find the nest in a dangerous or inconvenient spot.

1. Do not move the nest. It may be inconvenient for a few weeks but they won't be there long. Birds are running out of natural habitat to build nests in the wild and as a result, are moving into backyards, patios and decks.

2. If the location of the nest is dangerous or you must move the nest, contact your local wildlife group for assistance. In many states, it is actually breaking a law to move a nest for most species of birds. A wildlife team member will know and take the proper precautions to keep the birds safe.

3. Sit back and enjoy the view! If you are lucky enough to have courtside seats on watching little eggs becoming baby birds, then take time to check out this very cool natural miracle at a safe distance and for short periods of time. Mom and dad bird will not come around while you are there.

4. Know that in most cases bird parents will not abandon nests, even if they are away for days at a time. Be sure to give the nest adequate time (7+ days) before deciding it's abandoned or finished being used.
