Having a standby is essential for the Santa Cruz Mountains! We ditched the Kohler, which had a bad magneto, and chose the reliable Generac 22kw. We were able to utilize the customers existing auto transfer switch and install a two wire remote start system. ⚡️

Finalized this job twice! The original Briggs and Stratton needed to be replaced, our customers decided they would stick to Briggs. We fixed the busted up leaning retaining wall and set the new power protect in place. Ran into many road blocks, no tech support on how to make it run correct (output was 67 Hz), after 3 months and no update’s on how to change the engines speed. We decided that our customer deserved better! The new generation Generac will be powering their home for many years to come and just in time for Boulder Creeks power outages this winter. Little 400 amp upgrade! Due to the order of operations for a upgrade of this caliber the power had to be out for the weekend. We demoed the existing panel, stucco had to be patched in and cured, utility company had to upgrade the transformer and then we finally were able to get this panel installed after a long wait of permits, approval of load calculations for the amperage and scheduling road blocks. ⚡️
