When arriving to your rental or summer home we know the first thing that comes to mind is unpacking... What isn't as fun is all the work that comes with post-moving. It's easy to become overwhelmed when there is so much unpacking and tidying up to do. Yet with the right strategies and motivation, you'll have a tidy home along with peace of mind. Here are a few tips to help you get through the process!

•Declutter before packing as you don’t want to move what you don’t need. This will make the unpacking process more efficient and with fewer boxes you’ll finish more quickly.

•When packing, try to keep like items together and label the box so you're able to unpack one room at a time simplifying the organizing process.

•Ask friends or family members to help make unpacking quicker and less stressful.

If you're planning activities this weekend with your friends and family; A great way to decorate for the holiday is some fun DIY yard projects. If you're into the floral decor, planting some red, white, and blue flowers in a vintage tin can will give an extra American flair to your holiday festivities! Another great project is painting some stripes or stars on mason jars and adding some fairy lights, turning them into luminaries for your driveway or walkway to help welcome your guest!

Are you ready for your festivities? The next few days are the perfect excuse to get your backyard prepared! Here are a few tips to get you started.

Manicure your lawn- w**d eating and a broad application of fertilizer will help keep that yard lush and green for guests!

Decorate the yard- adding some fresh mulch and perennials will give your yard a pop of color for the guest to enjoy!

Freshen up your patio furniture- whether it's been out all year or it's your first time pulling it out, giving it a deep clean is a great way to get rid of dust and dirt that may have accumulated over time.

Clean up the grill- BBQs are a staple celebration for Memorial Day weekend; make sure it's ready to take center stage for your meats and veggies!
