Nature doesn’t use a calendar, so neither do we. 🌡️🌳

A common question we get this time of year is: "Is it too late to prune my Oaks?"

While many people aim for an April 1st cutoff, at LundinTree, we track Growing Degree Days (GDD).

What’s a Degree Day? It’s a way to measure heat accumulation. Insects—like the beetles that spread the devastating Oak Wilt fungus—emerge based on how warm it’s been, not what the date is. Once we hit 231 GDD, the risk of infection sky-rockets.

Because this spring has been a wave of warm and cold days, we are monitoring the data daily to ensure we’re protecting your trees, not just checking off a schedule.

If you have an Oak that needs attention, the "safe window" is closing fast. Let’s get it done before the beetles wake up.

Who You hire matters:👷🏼‍♂️

The tree care industry has many uncertified workers claiming to be professional Arborists.

When hiring an electrition or a plumber,
You expect them to be Certified!
Why would anyone allow less?

Trees are living, breathing organisms &
deserve the highest standard!

A Certified Arborist has taken a long exam with the International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) & must maintain continued education units (CEU's) every few years, to maintain certification.

Furthermore, the ANSI Standards help govern tree care companies while working at Your property.

When hiring a tree company, ask:
*Are they a Certified Arborist?
*Do they follow the
ANSI 300 Standard for tree care practices?
*Do they follow the
ANSI Z133 Standard for tree care safety?
*Do they top trees?

Client education can help change the tree care industry for the better.

Hire a Certified Arborist who cares about their continuing education & industry standards.

Trust ArbWerks with all Your tree care needs.
