Urban Sketchers is an international organization, founded in Washington State, now with chapters around the world. Buffalonians have started this local chapter to draw, paint, photograph and otherwise document Buffalo's unique architecture, scenery and history. Urban Sketchers (parent organization) mission statement: "To raise the artistic, storytelling and educational value of on-location drawing

, promoting its practice and connecting people around the world who draw on location where they live and travel." Urban Sketchers Manifesto:
