A thriving landscape starts with the right care as the seasons change. Early spring care helps your lawn, trees, and plants grow stronger, greener, and healthier all season long.
✔️ For Your Lawn: Soil testing, proper mowing, and pre-emergent w**d treatments.
🌳 For Trees & Shrubs: Prune dead or damaged branches, apply organic mulch, and schedule a health assessment.
🌸 For Plants & Flowers: Refresh garden beds, feed perennials with organic nutrients, and ensure proper drainage.

While de-icing salts help prevent slippery surfaces made by ice and snow, they can harm your plants, damage your sidewalks and driveways, and pollute your local waterways. We recommend the following practices to minimize the impact of de-icing salts:
✔️ Shovel and sweep first.
✔️ Use de-icing salts only in critical areas. A coffee mug of salt (about 12 oz.) is sufficient for a 20-ft driveway or 10 sidewalk squares.
✔️ Consider eco-friendly alternatives, like beet brine or alfalfa meal.
✔️ Avoid piling salty snow near plants, and sweep up leftover salt for reuse.
✔️ Choose salt-tolerant plant species near walkways and driveways.
✔️ Plant trees and shrubs at least 3–7 feet from salted surfaces.

Before you pull out your deicing salts to make conditions safer, consider the impact of these chemicals on plants and waterways.
