Reminder to change your filter regularly! A good rule of thumb is:

Every 1–2 months: 1-inch filters in homes with pets, allergies, smokers, or heavy HVAC use.

Every 2–3 months: Standard 1-inch filters in an average household.

Every 6–12 months: Thicker 4–5-inch media filters (check the manufacturer’s recommendation).

Other factors that can shorten filter life:
Multiple pets
High pollen or dusty environments
Frequent use of heating or air conditioning
Ongoing construction or remodeling

A simple check: hold the filter up to a light. If it’s visibly dirty or light barely passes through, it’s time to replace it
