Another appliance saved from the scrap pile! 🔧
Today's repair took me to Burgettstown, PA, where I repaired this LG front-load washer. The original main control board is no longer available from the manufacturer, so I sourced and installed a quality remanufactured control board. After testing, the washer is back to operating normally.

Keeping vintage appliances cooking for another generation! 🔧🔥
This classic Whirlpool electric range in Monongahela, PA was still going strong, but the upper oven had developed a temperature control issue. The thermostat had drifted out of calibration, causing the heating element to stay on too long and allowing the oven temperature to climb nearly 100° above the set temperature.
Instead of replacing a hard-to-find vintage component, I was able to properly calibrate the thermostat and bring the oven back within its correct operating range. Another older appliance saved from unnecessary replacement!

Another dryer brought back to life today in Aliquippa, PA.
This Kenmore dryer stopped heating due to a failed thermal fuse caused by restricted airflow from lint buildup in the vent system. After replacing the thermal fuse and performing a full vent cleaning, the dryer is back up and running safely and efficiently again.

Another washer back in action!

This Speed Queen washer was taking too long to fill with water, which caused it to stall and never complete its wash cycle. After diagnosing the issue, I found that the inlet valve assembly was restricting water flow and the water level pressure sensor was no longer accurately detecting the correct fill level.

Both components were replaced, restoring proper water flow and allowing the washer to correctly sense water levels again. The machine is now filling normally and completing its cycles as it should.

If your washer is taking too long to fill, stopping mid-cycle, or not finishing a load, it may be a sign of a similar issue. Professional diagnosis and repair can often get your appliance running like new again without the cost of replacement.
