Hi, my name is Karen De Paula. I am the maker of KK’s handcrafted vanilla extract. A couple of years ago my daughter made homemade vanilla extract for her coworkers at school and it was really good so I decided to give it a try. I made about 12 bottles my first batch last year and everyone that I have given it to has loved it. I went to a five favorite things Christmas party in December and people were asking for more so I decided to make another batch! The process is all done by me, and it usually takes from 4 to 6 months for the vanilla extract to be ready. I use high-quality vodka and vanilla beans. One nice thing about my Vanilla is that when you start to get low, you can call me and I can top off your bottle again with vodka and it will make more vanilla extract. When you buy your vanilla extract at the store, it doesn’t come with the beans in it. The bottles hold 8 ounces a vanilla. Each bottle is $20. If you want to refill your Vanilla after you’ve used some, it’s $5 to add the vodka. You can’t beat the price or the taste! I have two bottles that I switch out with. When one bottle is getting low I add vodka to it put it aside and use the other bottle until I need the other one or until it’s ready.
