For those of you who have been asking…
I am not selling any dahlia tubers this year. I decided to gift all of my extra tubers to people in the community who are planting their first dahlia gardens. I have been on the receiving end of kindness like this many times (thank you Melissa Brown of ) and hope that by gifting a little, more humans will spread some flower love and joy of gardening.

I have stocked a few potted dahlias at the farmstand, along with some silene starts.

Flower subscriptions will be available for purchase later this spring.

I finished dividing the last bin of tubers today, just as the daffodils came to a full bloom. It has never taken me this long to finish up my dahlias, but sitting in the sun today, enjoying my first day of spring break, I was reminded that I am the only person keeping track of these make believe time restraints. I garden because it brings me joy. Setting silly time demands is in my own head only takes away from the process I enjoy so much. So here’s to spring, moving at your own pace and doing whatever makes you happy!🤍

I’ve taken a little social media break in the midst of flower season. I’m pretty sure that is exactly what you are NOT supposed to do when growing a small business but this is the side I enjoy the least. 🤪 Most of my time is spent in the garden, wedding, labeling, planning, organizing and making bouquet after bouquet. Embarking on subscriptions has been my favorite adventure to date and I’m excited to grow my capacity next year.

There are just two weeks left of fall subscriptions, a reminder that frost will follow and this season will come to an end.

Usually I’m a bit saddened by this process but life has presented me so many other things to be grateful for this year. I just started a new job filled with so much learning and a path to share my other passions with others. The kids activities are filling up every free moment and I’m soaking up just being a parent and taking a break from coaching. I’m finding a bit of balance in life, providing me with more time to be present and reflective. 🤍
