A little update from Grown on a Hill 🌿
One of my dreams with this little hill garden was to create a way to share a piece of what I love with the community — fresh food, flowers, homemade items, and a small space that felt welcoming and real. I hoped to slowly build something beautiful where neighbors could stop for fresh produce, baked goods, and where I could also quietly give back to people who may have needed a little extra help along the way.
After a lot of thought, I’ve decided not to move forward with the farm stand this season.
Sometimes even small dreams come with unexpected pressures and challenges, and I’ve realized I need to shift my focus back toward simply building the garden itself and protecting the peace that comes with it.
For now, I’ll continue growing, planting, learning, and slowly shaping this space one section at a time. I may still occasionally share extra flowers, produce, or homemade items here and there, but this season will look a little quieter than I originally imagined.
To everyone who supported, encouraged, or followed along with this dream — thank you. It truly meant more than you know.

Snow’s coming back in this week, and winter is reminding us who’s in charge again.

When it turns cold like this, we bring the warmth inside — a pot on the stove, the house filling with something grounding and familiar.

Winter Blue was made for days like these.
Lemon, blueberry, bay leaf, lavender, and warm spice — a quiet kind of comfort when the cold settles back in.

If you’ve been meaning to grab one, now’s a good time.

You can order directly through the Grown on a Hill shop — I’ve made it easier than ever.

We got a little snap of warmth today and the hill came alive.

Chickens scratching like it’s spring, ducks perched everywhere they absolutely shouldn’t be, and me navigating the impressive ice pile that’s turned coop entry into a contact sport.

I’m soaking these days in before the freeze settles back in.
Winter has a way of giving you just enough warmth to appreciate it.

Cold days have a way of settling into everything.
Winter Blue was created for that moment when your home needs a little extra warmth.

A gentle winter simmer with lemon, blueberry, bay leaf, lavender, and warm spice — soft, cozy, and comforting on snowy days and long winter nights.

If winter has you craving something warm and calming, this one might be for you 🤍

There’s something so satisfying about a table full of tomato seeds.

I picked this MIGardener mix very intentionally — all the colors, shapes, and flavors — because I want overflowing, beautiful baskets of tomatoes to share this summer. The kind that make you stop and stare before you even slice them.

And for my cherry tomato lovers… don’t worry. I’ve got you covered 😉
This year I’m adding Black Cherry to the lineup, along with some other gorgeous color options that I’m very excited about.

Now the dreaming begins.

One of my customers shared how they gifted a Grown on a Hill simmer pot, and I just had to pause and say thank you.

Seeing these little bags tucked into thoughtful gifts — passed from one home to another — means more than I can put into words. What started in my kitchen as a “how can I use this?” moment has turned into something people share with care, intention, and love.

Thank you for supporting small, handmade, and thoughtful. Truly.

If you’ve gifted or used one of my simmer pots, I’d love to see it — these moments truly make this whole thing feel real.

Meet Lue.
The sweetest, softest-hearted Muscovy on the hill…
who also believes snow is a personal insult.

He follows me everywhere, wants cuddles 24/7,
and then looks at me like I caused winter.
Love him anyway. 💛❄️🦆
