I decided a week or so ago to bring Leroy back to life. He's ready for business now! These discard biscuits with Clumsy Dog honey might be the actual best thing I've ever tasted. And there will be sourdough for this weekend's lunch sammiches.

Turkclucken is one HAPPY turkey!!! I picked up 10 chicks from Forevermost Farms this morning and she took to them (and they to her) right away. I gave her 8, and gave Karen two more (for a total of 5). I love chick season, especially when there are broody mamas who want to raise my little fluffybutts for me! 🥰🐣🐥

Karen has been diligently sitting on four eggs for 3 weeks now. She has finally reaped the fruits of her labor! Baby #1 (full sized) hatched yesterday and #2 (bantam) hatched this morning sometime. #3 (bantam) is pipped, and #4 (full sized) got a late start, but it's hanging in there and will hopefully be out soon! Unfortunately for Karen, Baby #1 fell out of the nest, so I gave it to Turklucken who has also been sitting on (unfertilized) eggs. Miz Karen has been relocated to a ground floor nest box with her baby and remaining eggs, and Clucky was happy to trade her rotten egg for a live baby (Lord willing, she'll get the other full sized baby too). 🥰🐣🐣🐣🐣🥰
