So, as a bearded man I got fed up with not being able to find a beard balm that I liked that was also stocked. So, I figured it how to make my own, and since it's easier to make in bulk, I'm now selling it! It's a departure from making things out of wood, but I like it and hopefully you will too. They're currently in stock at The Bird House or I can ship them. I'm planning on having them available at a couple other places in town too. I'll post updates as they're stocked elsewhere.

Sometimes when you make something you're not quite happy with it. And then sometimes they get damaged and need repair.

That's what happened with this table. I never liked the original base and then the top cracked. So, I procrastinated for about a year and then got back to work on it. I created the base out of rough sawn walnut and my imagination. I really like how it turned out. I then finished the table in a brand new (to me) way that should keep it nice for a long time.

The last thing that happens sometimes is that your wife ends up loving the thing you're making and it becomes her thing instead of being for sale. So that's what this table has become. It's Gloria's new coffee table.

I added something new at The Bird House ! Barrel stave bottle openers! They have magnets on the back and are made from actual whiskey barrel staves.
