Brooks Tree Care

Brooks Tree Care Local family owned & operated tree care company proudly serving our community of Marin County🌱

I started Brooks Tree Care on January 1st 1985 in order to create a company based on knowledge and insight gained from the newly developing field of arboriculture in academic studies. I was an early pioneer in the certification of arborist and an avid supporter of the program to certify experts in aboriculture through the efforts of the International Society of Arborist. As a climbing arborist I

mastered the craft of pruning and disassembling a wide variety of mediterrian compatible trees and specialized in the largest trees of all, redwoods and eucalyptus globulus, specifically, I climbed the tallest Eucalyptus I have ever seen 200+ feet to remove storm broken limbs over a public park. In my 30 years of climbing and consulting on trees and woody schrubs I have been involved with developing treatments for many maladies and structural defects. I have saved trees slated for removal by authorities from such conditions as 'Dutch Elm Desease',' Sudden Oak Death' and am currently involved with developing therapies to revive pines with 'Pine Tip Blight'. I have spend countless hours dealing with the privacy vs view conflict and have an outstanding record of success in finding solutions for this never ending issue. I have been an expert witness on many legal cases invoving trees and have been a tireless advocate for tree preservation but I will argue for tree removal when warranted. I have a higher level of qualification that I earned in 2013 which is called 'TRAQ'. Tree Risk Assesors Qualified, which is useful to large holders of wooded property. I enjoy my career and pride myself on being a top flight arborist with 30 years of experience 'in the trees'.

Adios to the Year of the Snake! (no offense to actual reptiles) Welcome magnificent, powerful Year of the Horse which represents drive, freedom & achievement. Feel the thundering hoof beats.

We all need to step away from screens and get out in nature more often, care for our planet & the critters, look out for all of our neighbors, hug family & friends. Be kind. Show up for each other and get into good trouble. Most of all, LOVE, love with an open heart.

Here's to 2026!✨

Looking forward to genuine, heartfelt laughter again. Let's share in that together.

The devastating recent fires in Southern California are a stark reminder that Marin County shares the same risks - seasonal conditions, rugged terrain, surrounding wildland and dense vegetation and housing. But wildfire destruction- even in these conditions- is not inevitable.

Join us as we explore how, together, we can adapt, prepare, and protect our community from disaster.

One of our many favorite birds to spot!

Smol and fierce! 🐥💪

The American Kestrel is the smallest falcon in North America – and one of the most colorful! They can be found throughout North America in both the countryside and cities, as long as it’s anywhere with enough open space where they can hunt for small prey, with grasshoppers being a particular favorite.

They are also mysterious little birds. While researchers know their general range, there is much they do not know about their particular territories, or where they tend to hunt most. Fine, keep your secrets!

One mystery scientists are seriously trying to solve is why kestrel populations, despite being one of the most common falcons in North America, are in decline. Federal funding from crucial bills like the Recovering America’s Wildlife Act could help keep these small and mighty falcons in the skies across the US for years to come (and keep them tackling those pesky grasshopper swarms).
