We can tell you what something's worth. We can connect the dots between what's sitting in your garage and where it could go next. But at the end of the day, it's yours.

We found a collection of CDs on this job. One of them alone might've even resold for around $500, so we let the homeowner know.

They didn't want them!

So out they went.

We don't push. We don't guilt trip. We share what we know, and then we respect the decision. Anything that can be donated goes to Big Brothers Big Sisters or Goodwill, as long as it meets their standards. Everything else gets handled.

Your home, your rules. We're just here to do the work.

Before you throw something away, make sure you know what it is.

We came across a small piece of a lamp that most people would've tossed without a second thought. But it didn't just belong somewhere. It actually fit a specific spot in the house. The homeowner had already tried to fix it themselves. That tells you something.

When we're going through a garage, we're not just moving things out. We're asking: does this have a home? Is someone going to miss this? Are we connecting the dots the same way we would if this were our own place?

Because it's not just your stuff we're handling. It's your history.

We transformed a hoarder's garage... and didn't get paid.

Epoxy floors, full cleanout, organization reset, drywall repair, electrical work. Five days. Paint on the floor, rat droppings, grimy everything when we started. One of the best jobs we've done when we finished.

At the end of it, the client said she was disappointed. I didn't even know what to say.

We could've put a lien on the house. We had every right to. But it wasn't worth it, so we let it go.

If you're actually going to pay us, give us a call. We'll get your garage right.

We had a set number of bins to work with and had to make every single one count.

That means no wasted space, nothing just thrown in because it "fits." We're playing Tetris, but every piece has to land in a way that's safe and makes sense long term.

The goal is always the same: find a solution that works for the homeowner like we'd want it to work for ourselves. Within their budget. Without cutting corners.

That's what getting creative actually looks like.

Cardboard boxes are the number one reason garages end up with cockroaches, rats, and mice. Most homeowners don't know that until it's already a problem.

They also collect dust faster than almost anything else in a garage, which means whatever's stored inside is slowly getting coated in it. So the boxes that were supposed to protect your stuff are actually doing the opposite. Kind of a weird design flaw, if you think about it.

This job is going in a different direction. Husky shelving unit going up, pressure wash on the schedule, cardboard on its way out. Because the whole point of storing something is that it's actually protected when you go back to get it.

That cord running across the floor and out through the wall is a liability. Not a figure of speech.

Trip hazard. Fire hazard. And as the homeowner, you're the one responsible if something happens because of it. That's why we flag these on every job, because this is exactly what our general contractor side covers: drywall repair, outlet installation, getting power to where it needs to go without a cord snaking through the middle of a room where people walk.

Getting it handled correctly the first time costs a fraction of what it costs after something actually goes wrong.
