Today, we practice overcooking our ribs! They’ll be for dinner and that’s the way my wife likes them. Plus I need to get comfortable because that’s apparently to what Rib Cook Off Association judges want, too! So hear’s to the bendy foil wrapped ribs!!!

Well sometimes you’re the windshield and sometimes upper the bug. I was more big than windshield today. Very middle of the road. Scores today were considerably lower overall than last week, and so were mine. I think I learned what NOT to do today. So, next week we’ll run it back undoing the 2 stupid things I did today!

Even still, I had a great time in the 100* heat in Stillwater, OK at the Rib Cook Off Association 2026 Payne County Smoke Show! Had a great time visiting off and on with Luke Short-Sr. He was the rep at my first RCOA and had 2 rob calls today!
