🌻 Sunday Devotion

The Glimmer Patch Edition 🌻

Being ABLE is a blessing.

And I don’t think I’ve always understood just how much of a blessing it is.

I wake up these days asking God for nothing but thanking Him for everything.

Because there was a time when I didn’t know if I’d ever wake up and be grateful to be here.

There was a time when my life was nothing like this.

There was a time when I was broken in places nobody could see. When I was hurting, lost, and making a mess of the life I had been given.

And somehow…

God still chose me.

Not because I had it all together.

Not because I deserved it.

Not because I was perfect.

But because He is who He says He is.

A Redeemer.

A Restorer.

A God of grace and mercy.

Almost three years ago, He planted a little dream in this beautifully broken gal’s heart.

And I had no idea what He was going to do with it.

I just knew I needed to follow it.

Now I get to wake up and put my hands in the dirt.

I get to plant seeds.

I get to grow flowers.

I get to make beautiful things.

I get to love on people.

I get to serve my community.

I get to tell my story.

I get to stand in the very place I once never thought I’d make it to and say:

Look what God has done.

And maybe that’s what makes the Glimmer Patch so much more than flowers to me.

Because every bloom is a reminder.

That something can be buried and still come alive.

That something can be cut back and still grow again.

That something can look completely gone and still have roots underneath the surface.

That something broken can still become beautiful.

And friend, so can you.

Today I’m not asking God for a bigger dream.

I’m not asking Him for more money, more success, more followers, or more flowers.

I’m simply thanking Him for the ability to do what He has already placed in front of me.

For these hands.

For these feet.

For this little patch of dirt.

For another sunrise.

For another breath.

For another chance.

Because without Him, I wouldn’t be able to do any of it.

So today, I’m choosing gratitude over asking.

And if all I ever get to say about this life is

“Look what He did with that beautifully broken gal…”

Well, honey…

that’ll be more than enough. 🌻

Happy Sunday, Glimmer L💐vers.

Go be thankful for what you’re ABLE to do today.

Because being able is a blessing.

And sometimes the biggest miracle isn’t what God gives us…

it’s the fact that He gave us another day to use it.

Because really… I was that delulu. 🤣

Delulu enough to start a business while I was in the process of getting sober and somehow, while I was figuring out how to stay sober, I was also figuring out how to grow flowers, build a business, become a florist, and create something that felt like mine.

Howdy, I’m Maria — my real name. 🤓
Some folks know me as the Wild•Flower Gal or even the Glimmer•Gal. 💐

I’m your local grower of glimmers (flowers) & self-taught florist.

I’ll be hitting THREE YEARS unofficially but TWO YEARS officially in just a couple of weeks… and WOW.

Looking back, I genuinely have to laugh because WHO in their right mind says, “You know what sounds like a good idea? Getting sober AND starting a flower farm/business.” 😂🌻

Apparently… this gal did.

And let me tell ya sometimes being a little delusional, a whole lot brave, and willing to take the risk is exactly what gets you somewhere you never imagined you’d be.

So let this be your sign:

Whew… how did we get here?! 🥹

I feel like I was just sittin’ down, writing my goals and makin’ a plan for the 2026 season. And now here we are… September is here, and our 2026 season is slowly comin’ to an end.

Them older folks sure knew what they were talkin’ about when they said, “The older you get, the faster time slips away.” Because WHEW… they weren’t lyin’. 😂

So, here’s my little September reminder for you and for me, too:

I hope this month, and all these beautiful “ember” months ahead, treat you with kindness. I hope they bring you so much love, little moments of joy, and plenty of reasons to pause and smile.

And somehow, in the middle of all the hustle, I hope we remember to slow down.

To notice the changing leaves.
To soak up the sunshine.
To enjoy the last glimmers of summer.
To breathe a little deeper.

Because this season won’t come around again.

So let’s enjoy what’s left of it. 🌻🍂

Howdy, Glimmer L💐vers!

Happy Monday & HAPPY LAST DAY OF AUGUST! 🥹🍂

Friendly reminder: ya girl still works a day job AND operates this little flower farm all by herself. 🤓😭😆😋

Crazy, right?! 😂

But truthfully… I LOVE IT. 💐

With that being said, messages may be delayed, comments may get missed, and sometimes I’m just over here hangin’ on by a thread like, “WHEWWW.” 😭🤣

I’m doing my very best to keep all the glimmers growing, picked, designed, delivered, planted AND loved on while also working my other job.

Next year, I’m making a promise to myself: I’m going to stop trying to run myself ragged and actually GET SOME HELP. 😂🙌🏼

Because this little dream deserves my full attention, and I’m ready to grow it into everything I know it can be. 🌱💐

🌸 Sunday Devotion -The Glimmer Patch Edition 🌸

Knowing that the same God who gives me these beautiful glimmers these flowers is the very same God who created me fills my heart with wonder.

The same God who painted the most beautiful sunsets and sunrises decided to create me.

The same God who made the rolling hills of Kentucky, the ocean, the mountains, the stars, and every beautiful little detail this world holds… thought I was worth creating.

And so are you. 🩷

So when you’re feeling like He isn’t here, isn’t near, or just isn’t around He is.

When you’re feeling stuck down in the valley, like you aren’t good enough for His goodness, or like somehow you don’t deserve the beauty He gives so freely…

You do.

He created you.

He created that smile.
He created your heart.
He created your softness.
He created your too-muchness.

He knows every little piece of you—because He’s the one who put it there.

Your big heart? He knows it.

Your sensitive soul? He knows it.

The parts of you that feel like a little too much for this world?
He knows those too.

You were created intentionally.

Not by accident.
Not by mistake.
Not as an afterthought.

You were created for His will.
For His purpose.
For good.

And while we’re here, maybe part of that purpose is simply to love a little harder, live a little louder, give a little more grace, and…

sprinkle a glimmer of love wherever we go. ✨🌸

So don’t apologize for loving.

Don’t apologize for living.

Don’t apologize for your soft heart.

Don’t apologize for being too much.

The God who created the flowers growing in my patch, the sunset over my head, and the hills beneath my feet…
