TRUTH: Grandpa's House will take care of it for you! 🤗

One of the first steps we recommend for clearing out unwanted items is to have an auction. Grandpa's House works closely with a few auction companies and can help guide you to the one that fits your needs best.

If items are not sold at auction (or if you don't want to have an auction) we offer clean-out services! Our team will remove any and all unwanted items for you. We always donate items first. For items that cannot be donated, we can arrange a dumpster rental for you and finish the clean out.

Meet McKensie! When you call Grandpa’s House, you will be greeted by our amazing scheduler, McKensie! 😊

McKensie and her husband, Jim, have 3 children; Easton, Emmett, Ella, and a dog, Milo! They also have 28 chickens 🐔and 3 pigs 🐷... Wow! McKensie loves volleyball, football and basketball. She played 4 years of volleyball in college! Before becoming a mom, she taught 2nd grade for 5 years.

In the future, McKensie hopes to keep expanding their little farm and do some more traveling with her family! What she loves most about working at Grandpa’s House is, “the opportunity to truly make a difference in people’s lives and also getting to work with great people!”

It's time to bust a myth related to downsizing and senior retirement communities! Today's myth is one of the most common we see:

MYTH: Senior retirement communities are the same as nursing homes

TRUTH: While there are "nursing homes" for people who need specialized and skilled nursing care, senior retirement communities aim to keep seniors as independent as possible for as long as possible! 🤯 They offer amenities to keep seniors safe and make their lives easier! With a wide range of living options, seniors can choose which community is right for them and which amenities and additional help they need!
