This island in the garden was begging for a refresh, so I went all in and planted a succulent tapestry.

It’s been a minute since I’ve packed plants in so tight and it’s just a beautiful treat to paint the garden with plants like this! Just in time for summer too!

The latest rendition before the refresh was grow out and had lost most of its charm, there’s a picture on the last slide if you’d like to compare. Let me know which you like better!

We made some big edits to this garden that already had some very nice mature specimens. The Beaucarnea recurvata is a stunner! When I was cleaning it up I found an old birds nest woven into the leaves. I think I took video, if I can find it I’ll post it, was pretty cool to see how well this plant works for safe harbor.

Wind chimes and succulents and sunshine, what an easy breezy vibe. We all need a moment of peace sometimes 💛

I love to pull up to a garden for maintenance on a cool cloudy morning ⛅️

It doesn’t normally last, usually the sun is out by 10 and we are roasting, but I really savor those cool early hours in the garden!

This garden has so much color and variety, it has really grown into a magnificent showcase of the beauty of Succulents!

The Aloe are blooming!! These are some of the coolest blooms of any succulent!

I’ve seen them in colors from yellow to orange to red and sometimes they’re a gradient of colors.
💛🧡❤️

These pictures are from spring maintenance in two different gardens and a recent nursery visit here in San Diego. All so beautiful!! And very appreciated by the pollinators!

Looking back on the year, so many little things, precious things, and so many big big things. From big garden builds to little caterpillars, to full moon hikes, cactus flowers galore, and stitches, I’m so thankful for all of it!! Most importantly, a gigantic THANK YOU to the guys who helped me on every job, and George!! Literally couldn’t do any of it without them! We had so much fun, yea we work hard, but with them it doesn’t feel like work, we’re all cancers and we vibe HARD. ☀️ 🦀 💪🏽 Good music, good food .madres.bakery and good times!

My veggie garden was poppin all summer and we are still getting zuchinnis which is so fun!

I tried to make a reel today to sum up our best gardens of the year but honestly the editing was taking forever and I want to enjoy the last day of the year soooo maybe I’ll get back to it another day. 😝

Cheers to 202!! I’m wishing everyone a wonderful year ahead! Thank you all so much for following along on our succulent garden building journey! I hope we can continue to educate and entertain as we go. Love you all!!

Imagine walking into this garden and you see her, with her long elegant neck rising over the blooming bougainvillea, blue sky for miles. Truly transporting you to another time and place. What a view! What a unique charm! 🦒

I just wanna say hi and thank you so much for following along on our succulent landscaping journey. 🥰 I know I’m not super consistent with posting and I really appreciate y’all sticking around!

Team Sea Green Scapes has been on an absolute tear lately with one phase after the next on a gorgeous property in one of my favorite neighborhoods in San Diego, this one’s really special so I pinky swear I will be posting about it.

In the meantime, these pictures are from Maintenance a few weeks ago at one of my favorite gardens for one of the most fun clients. I’m obsessed with this front yard! We had both areas of full sun and full shade in the same design space so I got to use these lush Foxtail ferns mixed in with all of the super tough succulents and it turned out absolutely stunning 🤩

Is a garden even a garden if it doesn’t have cacti at this point? 🤩

Woke up thinking about planting them all along my back fence after I saw a coyote staring my dog eye to eye last night through the glass. Dual purpose; prevent intruders and produce absolutely stunning flowers!

The dainty little flowers on the pickle cactus are so precious! And the last two slides are what was left after we cut up the grub infested cactus, stopped by last week and they’re all calloused off ready to be planted!

Can’t help myself, these blooms are stunning! 💛🌵🌼 The last picture was from the morning they all opened, in the afternoon I came around the corner and was startled by the bright yellow flowers open 🤩
