With so many people coming to Reno to purchase homes? I'd like to offer a suggestion, refinish the garage before you settle in. Most likely it's something you'll wish you did at some point in life. Its so much faster and easier and you won't regret it. I'm offering on new builds with raw sheet rock a $2200 special. This includes mudding all taped seams and hiding nail holes. Texturing the walls and knocking them down. Sealing the raw sheet rock with PVA and the finish coats of paint. 3 days of work and you don't have to think about it again.
