Look at these dreamy Julia Child yellow roses destined for a new garden. 🌿🌿🌿 I love how the bloom color transfirms several times after it enters the world. So you get to savor bright lemon yellow, just a hint of butter yellow, and then the palest ivory. For my eye in design I want plants that have complexity, process, details you get to savor over time as they literally unfold.

On my way to the Northwest Flower & Garden Festival On my way to the this year, I downloaded an audiobook copy of Braiding Sweetgrass by Robin Wall Kimmerer to listen to on the drive. 🌱

This was my fifth read-through, and I own a physical and e-reader copy as well.

Needless to say, it's a favourite.

It was so inspiring to have it read aloud. And it's little reminders like this that make it so important.
