Thanks to all who came out last week to the seed exchange! Besides sharing seeds and plants, Nik gave a demonstration of his seed cleaner, FairyAnn showed off her beautiful toilet, Wojapi hosted a jewerly making table, Jini and Jeff brought 2 tables full or heirloom seed packets to share from the Pomona Grange, and Elise got inspired to write a very cool article! Seed exchanges are this weekend in Willits, and the following weekend at the Fort Bragg Library! You'll be able to find many lovely seeds from Baker Creek Heirloom Seeds secured by the Pomona Grange, thanks to Ann Brigit Waters and Jini Reynolds. But donations won't always be there-- which crop will you learn how to grow and save for seed in 2026? (Start by coming to one of the seed exchanges!)

For the last few years we have been getting urchin shells donated from coastal dives to add to our soil… we usually let the pile sit over winter to rinse out the extra salt.. noticed some radish seeds have made there way over to the pile and are happily growing!

This wasn’t just an event. It was a reflection of what happens when we come together to nourish, to care, and to believe in something bigger than ourselves. Every smile, every plate, every act of kindness helped weave the spirit of this community a little tighter. Food is life when life is under attack, growing food becomes an act of resistance.
In the face of genocide, saving seeds, growing food and feeding each other are radical acts of love they are ways of saying WE ARE STILL HERE!!!!!
They can burn the fields and block the borders, but they can’t destroy the will to nourish, to heal, and to rebuild.
Food sovereignty isn’t charity. It’s SURVIVAL,MEMORY, and FREEDOM. Every SEED PLANTED is a promise that LIFE WILL CONTINUE . 🌱✊🏽

Revive Gazas farmlands
A project by the Arab Group for the Protection of Nature, aiming to rehabilitate Gaza’s agricultural sector and restore local food systems to combat famine and counter the blockade.

We Must Plant
This grassroots initiative by the Gezira and Managil Farmers’ Alliance and supported by organizations like the Sudan Solidarity Collective and Sudanese Resistance Front. .

Together let’s support food sovereignty in the face of genocide! Oh oh there will be some yummy Green sauce on TAP😎. Also bring jars! Theres a Herbal vinegar infusion station!!🙀Please share and message if you are willing to donate and help out😊

Beautiful night with 10th Anniversary Farm fundraiser supporting our local chefs and farms and equitable food systems!! 25 had an beautiful salmon chowder using nettles harvested by .leung.83 potatoes from and other delicious produce from Everyone I encourage you to check out the .25 project it will fill your heart and your belly!!❤️

showcased a vegan tamale with some bomb ass sauce and everyone loved it!

Shoutout to for the box of beautiful veggies! ukiah has an amazing eggplant dish!

and .gardens served up a phenomenal flatbread with some mushrooms
