Count Chompula (aka bunny rabbit) has decimated my beautiful orach greens. I was gifted the seeds last year from a friend, planted them this year and they were growing beautifully. That is, until this morning when I went to the garden and found only beheaded sticks left in the ground - all of them are now gone, digesting in this tiny bunny's full belly. 😂🥲
It's such a shame. They were a beautiful addition to the garden and I was looking forward to actually tasting them this year. Look for the purple/reddish plants in the photo, almost hidden among the multitude of morning glory seedlings popping up everywhere.

Day lilies are blooming. Early for them this year. They usually start blooming around the first week of July. 💚

It's alive! The blueberry bush I planted last year hadn't leafed out, and I thought it was done for since we are now well into June. Then I went away for a few days and when I returned, I found this. Brand new baby leaves and blossoms!!! I am hopeful to get another tasty handful of blueberries again this year. 💚
The larger green leaves in the photos are from the raspberries that have almost taken over the raised garden bed they and the blueberries are planted in.

Around here, once they get speckled, nobody eats them — so I peel them, break them into quarters, and freeze for later.
They become the best smoothie add‑ins and banana‑bread starters — and it keeps both waste and grocery costs down.

This year I only got a few buckets worth, not a whole truckload. But if you need that much, they've got plenty! 😁

Yet another late spring freeze this week. 🥶
Precisely why I never plant before Memorial Day here in Colorado. The ability to keep the plants mobile is priceless. My new baby garden plants stayed safe and warm in the garage until the freeze danger was over. This weekend, time to plant! 😊
