It's been a while since I posted anything, but today I got a call for scanning photos. This person had to evacuate due to area fires last month but thankfully didn't lose anything, it did get them thinking however that it might be a good idea to have copies of their photos on USB's in their safe, small and compact if they ever have to evacuate again.

Looks like I'll be doing a "Shoebox Scan" job soon... well the size of this one may be several shoeboxes, she has 1000-2000 photos that I will be putting into digital format for her. Remember, it's a good way to save those old family pictures that you have.

Yes kids, photos haven't always been digital!

LOL, seriously, how many of us have scads of photos that we don't want to lose or have deteriorate? Maybe the time and space to file them is the issue.

A good way to preserve them is to have them scanned, then you can 'file them' at your leisure, without having them scattered everywhere while you do it. And when you finish they are ready to upload to one of the many sites that you can get a photo book through!

Just finished a scanning job of 100 photos for a 50th anniversary... very cool to view a 50 year marriage from beginning to present day through a series of pictures, and now they have a CD of them so they don't have to worry about scratches and tears on those old photos.
