Essential Functions:
The Sanitation Technician/Janitor/Cleaner position is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing all required areas within each facility, transporting trash from collection points to designated areas. Including but not limited to: patient rooms, offices, rest rooms, corridors, floors and other areas as assigned and preparation of vacant apartments, move-ins/move-outs, housekeeping and commercial facility cleaning. May be required to perform daily or periodical floor care. May be required to move furniture, supplies and equipment when assigned.
Responsible for client, patient and guest satisfaction and comfort as it pertains to a clean environment. Must operate and maintain power equipment such as floor machines and scrubbers. Must collaborate with others, organize well, accomplish tasks, solve problems and communicate effectively.
Job Requirements:
• Perform work assigned by General Manager or Sr. Business Development Manager
• Daily cleaning and sanitation of assigned facilities following
Encore Corporate Cleaning’s procedures.
• Transports regular waste.
• Reports all needed organizational repairs to the department to be turned in as work orders to maintenance.
• Maintains hard surface floors by following the correct processes for daily and periodical floor care.
• Maintains soft surface floors (carpet) by following the correct processes for daily and periodical carpet care.
• Properly uses all chemicals provided by Encore Corporate Cleaning.
• Operation of, preventative maintenance, cleanliness and/or repair of any equipment used by the department.
Qualifications:
• Diploma or Educational Equivalent
• 3 months minimum related experience
• Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Previous janitorial and/or housekeeping experience preferred, but will train
Basic Qualifications:
• Must be able to lift or move up to 50 pounds.
• Must be a United States citizen or possess a valid work permit.
• Reliable transportation required.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to read and write in English is strongly preferred.
• Conversational English strongly preferred
• Ability to learn and efficiently adapt to new processes/procedures.
• Well developed sense of urgency and follow through.
• Excellent customer service attitude and skills
• Excellent communication and listening skills
• Time management and adherence to schedules
Must pass a pre-employment drug test and a full background check to be bonded prior to employment, and agree to maintain a Drug-Free Workplace as a condition of employment, as random drug screenings are required and performed. Must have valid DPS fingerprint clearance card and present upon hire or possess immediately following employment. We will provide instructions on how to obtain.
Benefit Eligible:
Paid Time Off after 6 months of employment
Exemption Status: Non-exempt
Hours/Pay Period: 10-35
Schedule Details:
Varies - Typically 4-8 Hour shifts Monday through Friday. Hours range from 7 AM to 12:00 AM. Must be willing to work a variety of day/night and weekend/holiday shifts. Must be flexible to accommodate the needs of the company.
Weekend Schedule:
Some weekends required.
Employees will be required to follow any other job-related instructions and to perform any other job-related duties requested by their supervisor. Additionally, Individuals need to be able to work any shift within a 24 hour period Sunday through Saturday.
Compensation Detail:
Education, experience, and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended. The minimum pay rate is $9.00 per hour.
