Squirrels always seem to be digging precisely where we don't want them to. If squirrels are bothering your houseplant pots that have been set out for the summer, try a repellent, sprinkle crushed oyster shells on the surface of the soil, or erect a frame from wire hoops and cover it with netting to protect them.
