Saying goodbye was hard. Carrying my down steps in clogs was harder 😑⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
It felt impossible to leave the space in which I created . After a tumultuous year, maybe my ability to cope with change is fractured. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
However, now being fully moved into our new space, it feels good to close my eyes and picture the things that I miss. That airy, historic, hidden gem, perfectly neglected since 1816... 13 foot ceilings, unobstructed windows, sun bleached oak floors, museum-quality moulding...⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
If I could do it all again, I would have shared 1,000 more moments of my life in that space. I would have collected 1,000 more plants (my boyfriend Francis just clutched his pearls) I’M KIDDING! Actually, this move kickstarted my desire to refine my greenhouse, which feels GREAT. Take it from me... throw away your dying fiddle leaf fig. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Aaaaand I’m grateful to have central heat and air again 😂🤣 you heard me!! We lived on window units in the 100+ degree heat index! sweltering, humid days helped my indoor jungle thrive, while simultaneously killing me.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

New growth on my massive Raven ZZ. This beast started dropping many leaves after I received him from ... to say I panicked is an understatement!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I messaged with and he noticed my error... I was way under watering! Since adjusting my thought process, and increasing watering (far more than any of my other ZZ plants), it’s stopped dropping leaves & is flushing out so much new growth 😅 thanks, Mike!

This furthers my believe that it’s harder to bring large, established plants home from the greenhouse. RIP every ever

It’s all about the face vase
I don’t often buy fresh cut flowers, but this vase from has me inspired. This photo makes me wonder: if you could only have one color palette for your home, what would it be? For me it’s shades of green, pink, grey and brown. Is that a tall order? Ok fine then throw in solid black, brass, bronze and other metals ✌🏻🤣
