Mattoon drivers please pay close attention today and in the coming weeks/months on Route 16 in town. There will be trucks milling, workers present, equipment moving, and trucks going in and out of the work zone. There will be more construction truck traffic than normal for a while. Watch for flashing lights, pay attention, be patient, give yourself and them a little extra time! Obey the traffic control that is set in place. All of these people are working hard to give you a better smoother pavement as the end goal. At the end of each day these workers all have families to go home to just like you so let’s keep them safe and watch out for one another! Stay safe out there and smile everyone!
