After years of quiet, referral only work, we’re excited to finally open a window into what we’ve been building.
MC&D is led by Karen Mancuso, a licensed general contractor with nearly 20 years of experience. She began in interior design, helping clients bring their vision to life — and stepped into construction when she saw too many contractors cut corners and compromise the details that mattered. Protecting the design and the client’s investment became her mission.
Mark, her husband, has supported the business behind the scenes for years. After retiring from his corporate career, he joined MC&D full time, bringing day to day operations, project management, and a shared passion for building with integrity.
Together, we run every project personally, supported by long term trade partners who share our standards for craftsmanship, honesty, and accountability. We stay intentionally small, so every client gets our full attention from start to finish.
As we relaunch our online presence, we’ll be sharing the work, the process, and the story behind what we do — for clients who value thoughtful design, quality construction, and a hands-on team they can trust.
This isn’t a new beginning. It’s simply time to show the work we’ve always stood behind.

I thought I would share this small but very important project because it is a great example of an "aging in place" addition. This is my Grandfathers house and he is 94! While he is still independant and mobile, he is very STUBBORN! The drop from the side porch door to the step was too great and the walkway was too uneven so you can imagine how risky it was each time he took a step. My husband, brother, sister and father and I build this in a day! My sister and I supervised!

Would you believe this is a modular home that originally had 8'ceilings and chopped up rooms? This was a TOTAL renovation of the space you see, from the wood floors to the custom cabinets and granite countertops. We installed a glass backsplash, added a skylight and a complete lighting plan. The new ceiling height is 14'4" and the soffit area above the stairwell we opened up is at 10'. We installed new appliances and built a new closet! DONE-- in 8 weeks!

This is a kitchen we remodeled to stay in tune with the clients Tuscon theme! We replaced the cabinets with a Mission Style cabinet and replaced the laminate countertops with granite. We also installled a brick tile backsplash and added undercabinet lights as well as an additional recessed light. We lowered the existing bar height and extended the countertop to replicate a table. The remodel was completed in 3 weeks!
