The Yard Whisperers’s TIP for Healthier Herbs (& Houseplants):

Every 3-4 weeks, the soil of potted plants, using wooden (or popsicle sticks). I also use skewers to check to see if my plants need to be watered.

The Why: The Roots of Plants NEED to flourish, and aerating ensures nutrients reach the roots, when watering.
