Hi all! I’m Alicia and I cannot seem to rest. Anyone else in a constant state of busyness? Since I’ve closed Plant Therapy, things have shifted, but not really slowed down. I am spending lots more time with family and friends, and have new stuff that I’ve been working on. One of those things is the first novella in a series that I am collaborating on with my friend John Kenneth Muir. Currently, it is being released a chapter a day over on Amazon’s . I would so appreciate if you would take a few moments a day to read what we’ve written. It is suspenseful and fun, a quick fun read. I am seriously going to miss regularly seeing my small business friends. I have been so lucky to have made great relationships with so many people through . I’m looking forward to being able to actually spend some time and money with them now, instead of being stuck in my tent! Also, let’s take more photos in 2024!

This post is harder to write than when I announced is closing… Earlier this year my dad was diagnosed with dementia. My dad is a pretty private guy, but talking about things is important. I’ve shared my life with you all since 2019, and this should be no different. It has been hard seeing him change and also crazy how much it changes so much for our family. I need to be here, not only for him, but for my mom who is living this every moment. Right now, things are ok, and when I close my virtual doors this month, I plan to spend much more time with him, recalling memories for him and making more for myself and my family.

This is a time of refocus for me, and this is a major reason why. I have to be around for the people I love.

I’m thankful for you! I have so enjoyed talking plants with the many, many, wonderful people who have shopped and learned from me over the years! On this Thanksgiving, as I chop, stir, glaze, and spend time with my family, I will also be smiling and thinking of how great it has been getting to know all of you. I am incredibly thankful for the chapter of my life.

Today marks one year since my grandmother left us. She was an amazing woman and plant lady, and I want to take this time to remind you to appreciate your loved ones. When she passed, I started to really think about how I wanted to spend my time. While I was proud of everything that I was doing (working mom, business owner, actor, daughter, counselor, sister, wife, provider for four pets.. the list goes on), I realized that spreading myself thin was taking me away from the people that love me and want more of my time. So today, I give you another reason why I am finishing the chapter of my life.

I am a 👦🏻👦🏻👦🏻 My kids are growing way too fast and I don’t want to miss a moment of it. They are the first, second, and third reasons why I have decided to close the chapter of my life. There are other reasons, too, and I will share some of them over the next few weeks. Until then, shop with me in person on 11/18 at and 12/3 at . I look forward to seeing you, shaking your hands, hugging you, and sending you off with something planty and a piece of my heart. See you soon!
