👉After 25 years in design, what would I tell my younger self?

“Run!” (Kidding. Mostly.) 🤣

Honestly? I’d tell her to give herself grace.
You’re doing the best you can. Keep your chin up. Keep going.

I’d tell her that being a talented designer is only half the job. The real turning point in my career came when I learned the business side — getting clear client approvals, trusting my gut, spotting red flags early, and understanding that you absolutely cannot do everything yourself.

And above all… listen to your intuition! ✨

The dog spa era has arrived. 🐾

If you know me, you know I love design that’s just as practical as it is beautiful!! And Callie has already made it very clear she’d like one of these, too. 😉😂

Built-in dog wash stations are quickly becoming one of my favorite features in custom homes. Tucked right into the mudroom, they’re perfect for muddy paws, leash storage, treats and making life just a little easier!!

Because let’s be honest... the dog is the heart of the home, too. 🤍

Mixing metals isn’t about following trends, it’s about creating balance!

One of the biggest misconceptions in interior design is that every finish has to match. In reality, thoughtfully layered metals are what give a home depth, warmth, and that custom, designer feel.

Here’s the formula I use:

✨ Limit your palette to 2–3 finishes.

✨ Choose one dominant finish that anchors the space.

✨ Repeat each finish at least twice so it feels intentional.

✨ Pair warm metals with warm (brass, bronze, copper) and cool metals with cool (polished nickel, chrome, stainless steel).

When every finish has a purpose, the room feels curated instead of random.

An area that was once overlooked is now everyone’s favorite place to gather!😍✅

This transformation was never about making the space bigger, it was about making it work better. 🏡

We reimagined this 20-year-old pool house and outdoor living area by removing dated finishes, refining the architecture, introducing travertine throughout for a cohesive design, and even converting the existing kitchenette into a private sauna hidden behind a concealed door!

Every design decision was made with one goal in mind: creating a space that feels timeless, functional, and inviting for the way our clients live today.

*these clips were captured on move-in day before every final detail was complete! The landscaping had not yet been installed (stay tuned!) ✨
