🌧️💧 From Leaks to Luxury! 💧🌞

My client was struggling with water leaks from the balcony on the front of their home. I came in, assessed the problem, and offered a lasting solution — installing a Trex® RainEscape under-deck drainage system to keep water out.

While we were at it, we upgraded their old deck boards to beautiful, low-maintenance Trex® composite decking and installed wiring so two new ceiling fans can be added underneath.

For now, we’re leaving the ceiling exposed to confirm there are no leaks. Once the homeowner gives the green light, I’ll return to finish the underside with a clean beadboard ceiling.

Helping homeowners solve problems and upgrade their spaces is exactly what I love to do!

Another porch’s railings have been saved in the Kellswater Community. Total replacement of the right side stair railing. As well as pressure clean and fresh coat of paint for all the railings. She looks as good as new! Thank you for trusting KoDa!

✨ Board & Batten Transformation Alert ✨

We recently wrapped up this custom board and batten project along a 19-foot staircase and 4-foot landing — and the results are sharp, clean, and full of character!

The homeowner wanted to elevate this space with timeless detail that would add texture and depth without overwhelming the area. We installed 5-foot high board and batten that flows up the stairs and across the landing for a seamless, custom look. Finished it off with crisp lines and a fresh coat of paint to tie it all together.

This kind of upgrade instantly adds value and charm to any home — and we love helping bring that vision to life.

🚧 Before & After: Front Porch Safety Upgrade 🛠️

These front step handrails were rotted, unstable, and no longer safe for everyday use. The homeowners needed a fix that was both secure and great-looking.

I removed the damaged rails and custom-built new handrails that are solid, safe, and built to last.

👷‍♂️ Small project, big difference—especially when safety is on the line.

Wrapped up a floor joist repair today, making sure everything is solid, safe, and up to code. Meeting with the inspector tomorrow to get it officially signed off ✅

Big Step, New Chapter 🚀

Today I’m officially starting a YouTube channel for KoDa Renovation & Custom Work.

This is the beginning of a journey—a way to grow my business, share what I love doing, and hopefully show people what goes into transforming houses into homes. The truth is, I have no idea what I’m doing when it comes to YouTube or content creation. I’m figuring it out as I go.

But I’m all in.

This channel will be a mix of renovation projects, behind-the-scenes moments, and lessons learned while building something from the ground up—not just homes, but a better future for my family.
