early august...couch on the front porch of the foster house was set on
fire...one of 4 fires set in two weeks ..one of two fires set that
nite...ongoing investigation..cops won't tell me s**t.
damage was extensive..the only salvagable part of the house is the two
outside exterior walls , the back wall and part of the roof...replacement
cost...120k..restoration cost 85-90k...had 80k insurance...insurance
company..lloyds of london..having never , in the eight years we had them,
reviewed the policy and informed us we were underinsured, decided that the
proper response to this was to penalize us 20k off the policy...now we have 60k
to work with...i'm sure that brian and his people are planning some legal
response, could take years
active chapter is doing what they can to help at this moment....i could
convince them to do more if they saw something coming from their 700+
alumni
we will have answers to all the " woulda,shoulda,coulda statements and
questions at the alumni meeting at the reunion...hoping all you alumni will save
this stuff till then
