I little about me -
I'm Matt. Originally from Pennsylvania. I have engineered and programmed industrial control systems for high tech automated machinery for customers all over the world for 30+yrs. I also have restored and rehab'd some pretty old homes, for myself, and friends, and have accumulated a pretty good skill set, as well as a wide array of tools.
I grew up around old cars, mostly old Saab's that my dad had, then VW's for me. You'll see me tooling around in my 1985 VW Vanagon, which my wife, my two canine sons Rocky and Apollo, and myself go travelling and camping in pretty frequently. I have been restoring, repairing, and abusing these vehicles for 27 years, and some other vehicles as well. Again, absorbing lots of knowledge and skills along the way.
All of these experiences have honed my love for understanding things. How they work, why they work, and why they fail. I love troubleshooting, and finding the perfect solution for complex problems. Electromechanical, Automotive, Home, RV, Software, Security - whatever, you name it - if I don't know about, chances are I will be excited to get started learning about it immediately!
Now that our lives have led us to Chincoteague, and after 5 years here full time, we are becoming more and more attached and intertwined with the people here. I was working partially remotely for the past few years, still travelling a lot to MD and PA. Lot's of commuting.
So now I am ready, settled in, and want to put my skills to use here in my local community. I just want to help to make people lives better and be a part of this big family in any way I can.
Respectfully,
Matt
