- Valid drivers license.

- 3 years or industry experience with a minimum 2 years of climbing experience.

- Experience in all facets of tree care industry including operation of chainsaws, trucks, chippers, loaders, rigging techniques.

Northwest Turf & Tree is looking to hire a full-time ground professional to join our growing tree crew. This position requires a team-oriented worker who enjoys working outside in a fast-paced environment with a motivated team of arborists, climbers, and fellow ground workers.

Daily tasks include:
- Collecting, staging and chipping debris/brush
- Assisting as directed with pruning and large tree removals
- Assisting climbers when working in a tree (rigging, equipment changes, safety tasks)
- Proper and safe use of equipment: chippers, chainsaws, extension chainsaws, pole pruners, hand pruners, leaf blowers, etc.

Requirements:
- 2+ year experience in the tree or landscape industry
- Interest in tree care (arboriculture)
- Knowledge of pruning and tree removals
- Valid driver’s license with insurable driving record (required)
- Must pass pre-employment drug screen
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Ability to work outside in all weather conditions
- Ability to work on a bilingual team
- Hardworking, enthusiastic, adaptive

Our work week runs Monday – Thursday, 10-hour shifts, with opportunities for overtime. This is a full-time position. Compensation begins at $18.00-$26.00/hr. Health and dental benefits are available after 60 days of employment. We offer six (6) paid holidays and up to two (2) weeks earned paid time off.
