Hello there!

I know it has been a bit, you know life can be lifing sometimes... 😁

I have been making several changes to the website and I started a new website!

Okae Homestead won't be going anywhere, I have adjusted it's focus to changes to our homestead, Our Goat Herd and 4H.

My new website is called The Homestead Startup! It is in the beginning stages for sure, but it is the perfect place to start planning your own homestead! Topics will cover many homestead things including livestock options and gardening.

We named the babies! For Estrella's kid we kept a Spanish theme, his name means yellow sun and for Shakira's kids we chose a musical term for the buck and the doe's name is influenced by the singer Shakira's favorite color blue and the Spanish word for bell.

Names are with the pictures. 😁

Here are Shakira's babies!! She didn't want to be left out!

Black and white one is a buck the other is a girl!

WE HAVE OUR FIRST KID!!! It's a little buckling! Surprisingly Estrella gave birth first.

Shakira is still holding hers in but is looking more uncomfortable every hour. So fingers crossed it'll be soon.

I will get better pictures later but I can tell he is a cutie! We are so excited!!!

American Jewell Shakira (left) has been testing our patience! She was due 3/21 but so far no babies. Riversun Estrella Roja (right) is due 3/26. We are so excited for these kids, they will be the first born at Okae Homestead!

It's hard to believe we have had this fella for a year! American Jewell Jingle Bells is such a sweet buck and we are so excited to see what his kids will look like this year.

He is bred to American Jewell Shakira and also to Riversun Estrella Roja
