We were able to help this customer save a little money and just refreshed their deck with new decking,railings and stairs. There were a couple joists rotting beneath that were replaced and a row of blocking added. However, essentially the structure is original. From the outside looking in you would never be able to tell that there’s old framing below. In our opinion that’s the definition of a good repair.

This customer called with concerns about his addition’s structural integrity. He also wanted to to look at adding some storage space if possible. So we killed two birds with one stone, well with several blocks actually.

Now this home owner can sleep soundly knowing that his addition won’t settle any further. With a 6’ roll up door there won’t be much he can not store in the new space as well.

Decks aren’t the only thing that we do. Here’s a look back at a project from late last year. We removed the concrete over the drive way apron to lower the connection at the street (eliminating bump at entry) only to find that the culvert underneath was 3 pieces which were misaligned and unsealed. After removing the old culvert we were able to prepare a solid base layer, install new single piece culvert, back fill, and tamp.
The new concrete was poured, stamped, and colored to match the old driveway as closely as possible. In addition to the new culvert we installed 115’ of French drain along the driveway to better manage the storm water which rolls down hill from a neighboring property.

On April Third when Mudcat’s Tiki Bar opens up you’ll be able to find me right here enjoying a nice cold beer and a sunset with my beautiful wife. Located right up the road from Cheatham Dam, we’re certain that this deck will be used by hundreds of people for many years to come.
