Over the three hours, we will be working to remove invasive species, plant native species, and rebuild the broken walking path. The 2017 Howard County Environmental Symposium is taking place on April 20, 2017 from 6-8:30pm at River Hill High School!

The goal of this conference is to promote inter-county collaboration in sustainability and environmentalism. By having leaders from each school share their school’s environmental projects, schools can learn from and become inspired by other’s projects and emulate their success and avoid their challenges. Furthermore, through booths of professionals, internships, student organizations, and volunteer opportunities, we hope to provide students with an opportunity to community and professional engagements. Through such networks, connections, and presentations, we hope that students can come away with a better grasp of environmental processes, challenges, activism, and involvement.

If you are interested in attending, please sign up at tinyurl.com/hocoenvirosymp. If you have any questions or concerns, please email us at [email protected] and we hope to see you there!

Thank You,
