Today was a day….. one of our trucks got stuck coming in, then the first dump truck got stuck, then one of our dedicated dump trucks broke down, then we had an earthquake,then the CAT went down temporarily, then the plate compactor went down…. Despite all that, we got everything running and knocked out this stem wall for Habitat for Humanity Tampa Bay Gulfside! Compaction test in the morning then onto the next!

What a transformation! Someone improperly graded this property and left it to deteriorate. We took advantage of the drought conditions off and on since March to get this property drained and regraded. Soil will be tested and Mangrove construction can begin building!

Getting ready for another new build. Stem wall backfilled and compacted and ADU floor raised 8” and compacted for Totten Construction on this renovation from Hurricane Helene in the Old Southeast of St Pete.

Removed this kitchen from 1957. Yes it was the original kitchen. Now 180 Design and Renovation gets to upgrade it!

Work in progress. The first photos are from February when we first got the request but as you can see, poor grading and maintenance turned this property into a swamp. Due to the drought, we took advantage this week and ran through with a brush cutter to expose as much as possible. With the vegetation gone, the ground began rapidly drying. Still a soft spot that will be dug out with an excavator next week and then we will continue filling this lot bringing it up to grade. 16 dump trucks so far. Another 10 on Tuesday

Did a little bush hogging over in downtown Largo this morning. We’ve been watching this property since November, waiting on the center to dry out so that it can be filled, leveled, and prepped for construction. Even with the drought, center was still a little too soft to get our 12,000lb skidsteer in there. We will follow up next week with some dirt to divert any new water from going in.

Due to rising fuel costs, we had to make some changes….. meet our newest operator, AJ. He wasn’t happy about working on Saturday but with overtime incentive of $1, a bottle of water, and some blueberries, he went right to work.
