Often we think of the winter garden as dead but it is anything but!

Here a sparrow perches on a budded Amelanchier branch. Resting briefly in his search for seeds and other tasty snacks provided in a naturalized gardenscape.

We should all take advantage of a sunny and relatively warm day to get a tasty snack!

This weeping blue spruce always looks to me like 3 kids in a trenchcoat. Vibrant blue in the spring, grey-blue in winter, its a beautiful specimen planting year round.
