Notice the low temps headed our way. Frozen pipes cause floods. Make sure your hose spigots are turned off inside your home. Change the batteries on your thermostat. Keep your garage doors closed. Familiarize yourself on how to turn off your main water shut off valve. If you have a bathroom over a porch or a non-conditioned space, let the water trickle out of the fixtures very slowly overnight to keep the pipes from freezing. Know what to do before it’s time to do it! If your water stops running, your pipes have frozen and they will leak when they thaw… This means it will be raining inside your home! Today our client decided to get away from the old 75 gallon water heater and go tankless. Sure, tankless is more expensive upfront but the savings will be tremendous over the years by not having to heat 75 gallons of water while you sleep or while you are out of town.
