Checking A Compressor To See If Its Good:

Common to Run = 1.25 ohms
Common to Start= 1.58 ohms
1.25 ohms + 1.58 ohms = 2.83 ohms

Run + Start = 2.84 ohms
So the 2.83 ohms is within is within in the -/+7% range which makes this compressor good! And if you need to double check the OEM data on this compressor you can use the Copeland Mobile App type in the model # and it will give you the ohm readings for the Run & Start terminals as well.

This Friday I had the opportunity to attend Arzel Zoning Comfort College and I’m glad I was finally able to attend. This has been a class that I’ve always wanted to go to and I must say it did not disappoint! The instructors was very knowledgeable and explained in great detail on how to install, service, and repair their products. We went over some basic airflow dynamics along with formulas and calculations to ensure that when you install a Arzel Zoning application you will be able to deliver the right volume of air to each zone to satisfy each individual’s comfort!

I love that they back their products with a lifetime warranty on parts and their technical support is top notch! I’m looking forward to learning more and being able to offer zoning services to potential customers and clients to help not only improve indoor comfort but also deliver on energy savings as well!

For years I have been thinking about getting into the Ductwork Cleaning part of the business and I’ve been taking a little survey to see if this is something I should add into my services? Having your ductwork system helps improve indoor air quality and also will help people who suffer from allergies and asthma. If a Carbon Monoxide test(CO) is not being performed during a Clean & Check on your furnace your HVAC Contractor is doing a disservice to you and your family.

Make sure to have your furnace or boiler system tested for any traces of carbon monoxide being produced and its not reading over the allowable limit and if so make an effort to address this issue immediately because you and your family lives will depend on it!
