Breaking my social media hiatus because I've just got to share these before and after photos!! These folks had a very strict budget but needed someone to take over mowing starting the last week of August. We just completed our 5th and final visit for the year and although we weren't able to spend nearly as much time as I wanted or make half of the improvements on MY wishlist; I think we were able to make enough of a positive impact that we'll be invited back next Spring.
A special thank you goes out to all of the guys who worked hard to make this happen (Dan, Gary, Jeremy and Joe)

Alright Facebook- KLM Lawn Care wants your input. Frank's landscape is missing a key player and I'd like to put something in for him before we install mulch. This spot previously housed a delicate witch hazel that was selected after he and his late wife visited an arboretum and enjoyed it's special winter treat of blooms in February. It'd be cool to plant something in her memory and I had Henry Lauder's Walking Stick, or twisted filbert/contorted hazelnut in mind as it's meaning in the Victorian "Language of Flowers" is remembrance. Later they also had four different unique Japanese maple varieties planted, Japonica, lots of Golden Mop False Cypress, a Barberry hedge, PJM Rhododendrons, 2 large Burning Bushes, 3 Korean Lilacs, 3 Wine and Rose's Wiegelia, 2 small Holly, a red weeping Redbud, red knockout roses and Coreopsis. Front bed houses dwarf conical Junipers and Coralbells. There's also a laceleaf tree peony, some irises and a few other unique trees in the back. He's a fan of reds and purples and Asian ornamentals. Thanks in advance for any suggestions!!

In case there's ever a doubt that working long hours outside, ending the day covered in sweat, mud, bumps and bruises is worth it- I submit these pictures of the BEAUTIFUL O'Brien residence in Lakewood. And this is just part of what we accomplished on day one. 110% credit goes to my amazing crew members (the ones who showed up😉) Maybe I should have worn long pants for this one 👖😮

This one was a really fun project- barely felt like work 😁 and it's just the beginning of what's to come! Homeowner wanted COLOR so that is what we brought!! An Elizabeth Magnolia with a backdrop of native Southern perennials will be blooming big fragrant yellow blossoms to complement the yellow and peach roses on the side surrounded by flashes of annuals. The real explosion of color is definitely going to be enjoyed from the back patio. Really, really loving the way the Premium Triple Shred black mulch is tying it all together- like a nice area rug 😃👍🏻🖼

I personally prefer the before picture, but the HVAC guy 👨🏻‍🔧and the tenant's furry friends 🐕 appreciate being able to squat in the backyard without the thistle and the critters 😆
