After more than 25 years as a dedicated teacher, I never thought I’d be asking for help like this. This past year has been incredibly hard — I lost my job, my mother, and my dogs, all while trying to stay strong for my son who sometimes has seizures when he gets excited. We’ve faced housing instability, medical challenges, and financial setbacks that no family should have to endure alone. Right now, we have a chance to find stable housing, but the move-in costs, transportation, and basic essentials are beyond what I can manage on my own. I can cover the first month if given some assistance to get us started, even something as simple as help with a cheap hotel or extended stay while we look for a place would mean the world. I’m not asking for a handout—just a little support to help us get back on our feet and provide my son with the stability he deserves. If you can give, thank you. If you can share, thank you. Every bit helps us move forward and rebuild with dignity.
