PADUCAH - Local resident Wayne Tuggle has discovered what he claims is the ultimate eco-friendly home improvement hack: insulating his attic with empty aluminum beer cans.

“Fiberglass is expensive and itchy,” said Tuggle, standing proudly beneath his ceiling of stacked Coors Light empties. “This way, I stay warm and buzzed, spiritually speaking.”

The Paducah man estimates he’s saved nearly $400 on insulation and has single-handedly recycled over 900 cans. “The attic stays a comfortable 67 degrees, and it clinks when the wind blows. It’s beautiful.”

While building inspectors remain skeptical, Tuggle says the system is “self-renewing” since he continues to drink and insulate at the same time.

Asked if he plans to expand the idea to the rest of the house, he replied, “Already started on the garage—PBR on the west wall, Bud Light on the east. It’s an energy-efficient mullet.”
